Wear Your Support for Refuges & Hatcheries!

The National Wildlife Refuge Association (NWRA) and the Coalition of Refuge Friends & Advocates (CORFA) introduced Refuge Strong and Hatchery Strong. This is a movement to stand with the landscapes, wildlife, and people who make up the heart of the National Wildlife Refuge System and the National Fish Hatchery System.

To show our support of Refuges and Hatcheries, the NWRA and CORFA, created merchandise emblazon with the Strong message. We’re thrilled to introduce this merchandise that is intended to increase awareness of refuges and hatcheries and to show that we stand in support of them.

The proceeds from the sale of this merchandise through Bonfire will support NWRA and CORFA’s grassroots advocacy, amplify Friends groups, shape conservation policy, and power local action that keeps refuges strong for wildlife and people alike.

The graphics used for the merchandise are also available for Friends groups and we encourage you to use them as you see fit. You may desire to produce merchandise of your own to sell in your nature store, which would be a terrific way to support the campaign and fundraise for your organization. Here are the graphics for “Refuge Strong” and “Hatchery Strong.”

Per Friends policy you must obtain permission from your Refuge Manager for items sold inside your on-site nature store. If you have an off-site nature store, or an online retail space, you should have no restrictions on your products. Please reach out to your Refuge Manager if you have any questions.

What we hope to impart to a wider audience through this campaign is that: When you wear Refuge Strong or Hatchery Strong, you’re showing your commitment to more than 850 million acres of public lands and vital fish hatchery programs that protect species, restore habitats, and connect people to nature.

We hope you choose to stand with us in solidarity, either individually or as a Friends Group, and help spread the word that we are #RefugeStrong and #Hatchery Strong.
