The Link: July Edition

These days, as our devices seem to ping constantly and headlines change from one hour to the next, we wish to share good ideas with Friends more frequently, but with less text. So—expect to hear from us every couple of months as we feature ideas from Friends across the country. Have a new approach to share? Excited about a unique solution to a common problem? Please get in touch!

This month we’re introducing the Florida Keys Wildlife Society and their project to highlight the National Key Deer Refuge by using short video interviews with visitors to promote their organization and Keys refuges. My own Friends organization has used a more traditional approach using videos about our refuge’s nature education program. Consider the options—and try video!

Finally, sometimes it’s nice to know that you’ve got Friends—and family. Mathew Emmer, Friends of the Savannah Coastal Wildlife Refuges, offers reassuring words for stressful times.

Enjoy—
