Understand the different roles that Friends volunteers and Service volunteers have in the successful management of refuges and hatcheries.
Friends’ volunteers and Service volunteers are often the same individuals. Learn how to make sure everyone is working effectively and safely in their proper “lanes” when certain work is being accomplished. Learn the legal and policy distinctions in the volunteer program and why clarity of role is important. We are working toward the same results; we need to be sure of our footing and what hat we are wearing!
