Grant Sources

National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF)

The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation has a mission of sustaining, restoring and enhancing the nation’s fish, wildlife, plants and habitats for current and future generations. NFWF offers numerous programs that support their and partners’ missions. The Five Star and Urban Waters Restoration Grant Program is one of the programs that can be on interest of Friends.

National Wildlife Refuge Association (NWRA)

National Wildlife Refuge Association annually offers the O’Brien Prize, an award for Refuge Friends groups. The prize is named after Donal O’Brien III, a past Board Chair and longtime enthusiast of the National Wildlife Refuge System. Don is a generous supporter of the great work we do for national wildlife refuges and is very impressed by the dedication and effectiveness of Refuge Friends groups. To receive notice of this opportunity and other information for Refuge Friends groups sign up for the quarterly newsletter, The Link.
