National Fish Hatcheries: the Coolest Conservation Program Your’ve (Maybe) Never Heard Of

October 21 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT

Welcome to the National Fish Hatchery System, one of the coolest conservation programs you may have never heard of!

National fish hatcheries have been raising fish and serving the public since 1872, when Ulysses S. Grant was president. Today, the National Fish Hatchery System is at the forefront of aquatic conservation, species recovery, recreational fishing, and community engagement.

Join Holly Richards with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for an introduction to the National Fish Hatchery System, the work hatcheries are doing across the country, and the many ways these facilities support fish, wildlife, people, and conservation.
Whether your Friends group is connected to a hatchery or you simply want to learn more about this often-overlooked part of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, this webinar is a chance to dive in.

Presenter
Holly Richards is a Fish Enthusiast and Program Analyst with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Fish and Aquatic Conservation Program.
