Cathy Allen

Cathy Allen’s mission is to support volunteer board members of small nonprofit organizations as they learn to understand their roles, embrace their responsibilities, and organize their work for maximum effectiveness with minimum stress. She combines a deep personal commitment to social, economic, and environmental justice with a strong grounding in nonprofit best practices and ongoing professional development. Cathy joined her first board at age 24 and has since served in a wide range of board positions, including with two different refuge Friends groups.
